  1. Buffers should be planned but too much buffers is also waste . For example safety stock is always good but too much safety stocks for all the parts will increase your cost . Safety stocks should be reviewed continuously based on your lead time , reliability of supplier and demand fluctuations. By reducing your deviations , safety stocks can be reduced and will help in reducing cost of inventory .
    Therefore buffers should be there but excess buffers should be avoided .
